Liability Insurance

All of the Rocky Mountain R.E.A.D. (RMR) teams are registered Delta Pet Partners.
One benefit of being a Pet Partners® volunteer is that Delta Society provides liability insurance when visiting, making presentations, or doing other activities to promote Delta and supporting the human animal bond.
Pet Partners are covered by Delta's commercial general liability insurance when they are doing volunteer work and acting within the scope of duties for a Pet Partners volunteer. As of this date, the coverage is a $1,000,000 limitation per incident. (The Pet Partners volunteer may be responsible for any claim in excess of this limit.)
Delta's insurance does not provide personal property loss coverage. If you or your animal is injured while doing volunteer work for Delta, you are not covered by Delta's liability insurance. Also, Pet Partners teams are not covered if one team causes a loss to another team.
