When there is interest in starting a R.E.A.D. program at a facility, an email is sent asking for interest in participating at the facility to the 40 + registered R.E.A.D. teams in Colorado.
Once feedback is received from R.E.A.D. team members of their interest in the new facility, the next step is to set up a meeting with the administration/directors of that facility to explain the program, answer their questions, and provide them with the necessary paperwork to move forward.
Each person from the facility that attends this initial meeting receives a packet of pertinent information about the Rocky Mountain R.E.A.D. program.
Before the teams begin to do a visit, there is a sharing of information with guidelines particular to that facility that everyone visiting will abide by.
Shadowing support is also offered team members by Donna Reif Sack or another authorized R.E.A.D. team member.
